--- title: Flights in Quotes | Documentation description: Search and add flights with the content API or manual entry — one-way, connecting, round trip and multi-city --- # Flights in Quotes Search and add flights with the content API or manual entry — one-way, connecting, round trip and multi-city Sembark provides an advanced flights system for quotations with two ways to add flights: 1. **Search and Add via API** — powered by a flight content API integration 2. **Manual Entry** — full control when a flight isn't available via search Both methods support every itinerary type, and you can add new **Airports and Airlines** to the system as needed. :::info Flight Content Only API The API search fetches flight **details only** (schedules, airports, terminals, travel class, timezones) — **rates are not retrieved**. You always enter prices yourself. ::: ## Search and Add via API Search by **Departure date, Flight number and Departure city** — the flight schedule details are fetched automatically: - Departure and arrival city with terminals - Travel class - Timezone (airports correctly follow Daylight Savings Time) All fetched details remain fully editable, and you can add extra details like **Baggage (Adult & Infant), Fare type and Meal type**. Everything is shareable across WhatsApp, Quote PDF, Email, Voucher and Word documents. ## Add Flights Manually Enter the same details yourself — departure date, flight number, cities, terminals, class — plus baggage, fare type and meal type. Manual entries behave identically in sharing and documents. ## Itinerary Types ### One-Way Direct A single flight with no return ticket, e.g. Bengaluru → Mumbai. ### One-Way Connecting A one-way journey with connections, e.g. Bengaluru → Hyderabad → Mumbai. The quote shows **layover times along with the total duration**. ### Round Trip Onward and return legs in one itinerary, e.g. Delhi → Dubai (onwards) and Dubai → Delhi (return). ### Multi-City Three or more cities under one itinerary, e.g. Delhi → Mumbai, Pune → Hyderabad, Hyderabad → Jaipur. A multi-city icon identifies these in the Quote PDF. ## Flight Dates Flights are not restricted to trip dates — select any date, which helps when guests fly earlier or extend their stay. ## Flight Pricing - Flight prices are included in per-person price displays during sharing, and a "Flights (inc.)" label clarifies whether flights are inclusive. - When price rounding is enabled, flight selling prices are also rounded, and tax can be applied to flights. - **Zero rates are supported** — if a detailed package breakup is not available, save the quotation with zero cost and selling price for flights. - With item-wise price breakups, flight price details are included in Quote Emails and PDFs, with subtotals per component.
