Responsibilities:
Content Strategy and Creation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content plan tailored to DMCs, tour operators, and travel agencies.
- Craft high-quality, engaging content across formats: blog posts, case studies, white papers, video interviews, podcasts, and social media.
- Create content that showcases real-world operational insights, success stories, and challenges faced by travel businesses.
- Design educational content (guides, tutorials, FAQs) to help clients maximize Sembark’s platform.
Community Building
- Actively engage with our audience to foster a community of travel professionals who share experiences and solutions.
- Host and moderate live events, webinars, and panels featuring industry experts and clients.
- Identify and spotlight thought leaders within the industry to collaborate on content initiatives.
Market Observation and Research
- Spend time observing how tour companies operate, identifying their pain points, and highlighting their achievements.
- Monitor industry trends, news, and competitor content to ensure Sembark stays ahead of the curve.
Collaboration and Storytelling
- Work closely with the marketing, product, and sales teams to align content with business goals.
- Interview clients and industry experts to develop case studies, testimonials, and success stories.
- Collaborate with video editors, designers, and external content creators to produce multimedia content.
Requirements:
Experience
- 5+ years in content development, with significant experience in the travel industry.
- Prior role as a founder or mid-level manager in a travel company
- Proven track record of building or engaging communities through content.
Skills
- Exceptional writing & editing skills, with a strong grasp of tone, voice, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in audio and video content production—storyboarding, scripting, and coordinating with technical teams.
- Deep understanding of travel operations, including sales, itineraries, and operational challenges.
- Ability to simplify complex topics into digestible and engaging content.
