Troubleshooting

Software Updates, Sessions and Timezone Issues

Fix stale software versions, unexpected logouts and timezone mismatch blocks

Software Update Required

Sembark ships updates frequently. If you see an update message or the dashboard behaves unexpectedly after a release, force-refresh the browser:

  • Windows/Linux: ctrl + shift + r
  • Mac: cmd + shift + r

You can check what changed via the What’s New button in the top navigation, which highlights for a couple of minutes after an update.

Unexpected Logouts

These are security behaviors, not bugs:

  • Inactive sessions time out after 20 minutes.
  • Changing your password logs out all active sessions.
  • Simultaneous logins on multiple desktops are blocked (one desktop + one mobile is fine), and successful logins are limited to 2 per 30 minutes.

See Account Security for the full policy list.

Timezone Mismatch Block

The software verifies that your device timezone matches your organization’s timezone — a mismatch blocks access with on-screen instructions, because mixed timezones corrupt date-based data like check-ins and schedules.

Fix: set your operating system timezone to the organization timezone, then reload.

Multi-timezone offices (multi-country teams) are supported — if your team genuinely operates from another timezone, ask your admin to configure it rather than changing device clocks.
